A few rain showers can’t keep The Mountain Nation from having a good time at Camp Crosley! The nation started the weekend off with a flag raising and then hit the camp for two days of activities including Giant Swing, human-sized Hungry, Hungry Hippo, an egg race, and a Blue Man Group style portrait painting of the Nation Chief.  The dad’s put their best fork forward in hopes of capturing the Golden Spatula.  Princesses amazed the dads with their versions of tribe songs with the Mohicans stealing the show for best song!

Later in the evening the Spring Fire Ceremony was with filled with laughter and even some tears as new chiefs were handed the honor of leading their tribes into the new year along with the introduction of a new Nation Chief, Chief’s Hand, Reckoner, and Eminent to guide the growing nation.  Spring Campout is always bittersweet… While we say hello to some new members, we also have to say goodbye to some graduates.  We ask the wind to guide this year’s graduates as they travel down their new paths.  They may be moving on from the nation, but the bond that was built between a father and daughter through the years has created two lifetimes of memories.  Friends Always!
